Through their sponsorship program, Tierra's Angels provide full medical coverage to families living near Machu Picchu, ensuring they receive the care they desperately need.
The Kausay Wasi Clinic, founded by a Peruvian/American couple in 2005, serves as a lifeline for these communities, offering a range of medical services at low or no cost. However, the clinic relies heavily on private donations to fund its operations, making organizations like Tierra's Angels essential to its continued success.
One area of focus for Tierra's Angels is the prosthetic department at the clinic, where the need for funding is particularly acute. Thanks to generous donations, Tierra's Angels has provided 16 prostheses to children and adolescents, improving their quality of life and giving them hope for the future.
